Chairman Communique

Dear Esteemed Members & Students,

It is with immense honour and a deep sense of responsibility that I assume the role of Chairman of the Jalgaon Branch of WIRC of ICAI. I express my sincere gratitude to all the members for their trust and continued support, and to my colleagues on the Managing Committee for reposing confidence in me. Together, we look forward to a purposeful year guided by our branch theme “PRAYAS – Ek Prayas Pragati Ki Aur”, reflecting our collective commitment towards continuous improvement and progressive growth.

The Jalgaon Branch, though compact in size, has always been dynamic, progressive, and impactful. Our uniqueness lies in our ability to combine professional excellence with strong cultural values and a deep commitment towards student and member welfare. Over the years, the branch has carved a distinct identity through meaningful initiatives that focus on knowledge enhancement, professional bonding, and academic support.

In line with this vision, the branch has undertaken and planned several distinctive initiatives, including the Vidya Jyoti Scholarship Scheme for deserving CA students; celebration of professional and cultural bonding through CA Navratri and CA Ganpati; and the organisation of a National Conference – “Gyan Panchamrutam”, offering a national-level platform for knowledge sharing. To strengthen academic infrastructure, the branch has introduced a Free Library Facility for CA Students and a Hybrid Library Facility for CA Members, ensuring access to both physical and digital resources. Further, approvals have been obtained for setting up Reading Rooms at Bhusawal and M. J. College, Jalgaon, significantly enhancing study facilities for students.

Our key initiatives already undertaken and planned include:

  • High-quality professional development programmes with practical relevance
  • Focused sessions on emerging areas such as Technology, AI, and contemporary practice management
  • Providing platforms for young and first-time speakers to encourage leadership and confidence
  • Strengthening interaction between members in practice, members in industry, and students
  • Enhancement of branch infrastructure and administrative efficiency to improve overall member and student experience

At the core of all our efforts lies a single objective — the welfare and holistic development of our members and students. Every programme, initiative, and decision is being designed with the sole intention of adding value, enhancing professional competence, and creating a supportive and inclusive professional ecosystem.

Sustainability and social responsibility continue to remain integral to our approach. In the true spirit of Prayas, we are committed to adopting eco-friendly practices and contributing positively to society through awareness and outreach initiatives.

As aptly said by Peter Drucker,

“The best way to predict the future is to create it.”

With collective Prayas, active participation, and constructive suggestions from members and students, I am confident that we can achieve sustainable progress and take the Jalgaon Branch to greater heights.

Warm regards,
CA Hitesh Agiwal
Chairman
